‘Fantasy Control’ is the follow-up to ‘Don’t Go Thru My Phone’, a track inspired by receiving naughty photos on Grindr. This new track takes a deeper dive into exploring sexual desires and fantasies.
“’Fantasy Control’ is about how far you’re willing to push yourself in the pursuit of a crazy, amazing, liberating, sexual experience,” Dirty Versachi says. “Being on Grindr, I’ve received sooooo many crazy messages from people! I’m a very sexually open person and exploring sexual fantasies is a part of that.
“I wanted to write a song that explores this in a camp and ironic way. Sex is fun, it’s exciting, it’s liberating. That’s what it’s about for me.”
Meanwhile, the track’s accompanying video is a mash-up of body parts, fetishism and ‘90s club kids, let by Choreographer/Creative Director Loxy.
Before filming the intimate video, they broke the ice by all doing the Hokey Pokey.
“I wanted the film clip to be a fun and playful take on naughty fantasies,” Dirty Versachi says. “I wanted it to feel camp and fun, but also serious, impactful, and meaningful. I think there are definitely still a lot of taboos around queer sex and sexualities, and I wanted to try remove some of those stigmas through this clip and really showcase the fun side.
“Filming it was truly intriguing. I put out a call to my Instagram community for models to participate in the ‘orgy scene’ in the film clip. It was an incredible experience to involve my community in this filming project and witness how open-minded everyone was. During the shoot, I had an almost out-of-body experience as I gazed at everyone, adorned in their amazing outfits, and it felt like I had discovered my tribe.
“This experience has further fuelled my desire to organise more events and shows where people can freely don extravagant, expressive attire and feel nurtured and uplifted to do so.”
‘Fantasy Control’ is out now.
