Mouk. is a queer woman born into a family of misfits, and she's about to burst on to the music scene, joined by her collaborator and producer James Sully.

'Ready To Lose' playfully explores the heartache of mistaking lust for love, told from Mouk.'s personal experiences of bursting out of an unhealthy relationship and trying to find liberation in sleeping around. . . But proceeding to fall for any girl that would look at her.

"Though I have no regrets, I can see how much I’ve grown since then and I’m glad I was able to learn how to laugh at myself," Mouk. says. "Writing music like this is the best way to make the most of an embarrassing situation."

For those playing the dating game, you'll be able to hear a recreated sample of the Tinder notification sound within the song, but it wasn't easy to incorporate! Mouk. and James recreated it so perfectly that there was a wild goose chase and lots of emails. Luckily, they eventually got the go-ahead to use it!
