Now in its 35th year, Brisbane Pride remains a purely volunteer-led, not-for-profit festival, dedicated solely to celebrating and empowering Queensland’s LGBTQIA+ community.
“Each year, Brisbane Pride grows in size and impact,” Brisbane Pride President James McCarthy says. “Brisbane Pride isn’t just a month of events. It’s the heartbeat of our community – where new connections are forged, vital conversations happen, and funds raised directly empower our local LGBTIQA+ organisations.”
Things, of course, kick off with the Festival Launch Party – an evening kick-off bringing together grassroots activists, artists and supporters, for live performances and DJ sets.

The Rally & March is the heart of Brisbane Pride, following the route of William Street > Grey Street > Glenelg Street > Musgrave Park. It celebrates hard-won freedoms while calling for ongoing reforms. It’s a fully accessible, family-friendly procession.
Then there’s the Fair Day – immediately following the March. It will transform Musgrave Park into a vibrant festival village. . . A space for celebration, connection, advocacy and support.
Fair Day tickets are on sale now.
Brisbane Pride Festival Launch Party is on at Come To Daddy on 6 September. The Rally & March takes place on 20 September. Fair Day takes place 20 September at Musgrave Park.
