The Pinnacle Foundation awards national multi-year scholarships to students within the LGBTQIA+ community aged between 18-26 years old.
The scholarships support full-time study at public higher education institutions in Australia, to achieve educational of vocational qualifications in any profession, trade or the arts. Each Pinnacle scholar is matched with a mentor, who will share the same academic and professional interests, gender identity and sexual orientation.
“The Pinnacle Foundation’s vision is for a more diverse and inclusive society, which closely aligns with our own brand and business beliefs—that everyone is entitled to the same opportunities in life and that we should work together to support the next generation to fulfil that,” Blundstone Joint Chief Executive Officer Adam Blake says. “We’re proud to support the great work of Pinnacle and look forward to celebrating the successes of their scholarship recipients.”
The three-year commitment with The Pinnacle Foundation is underpinned by Blundstone’s commitment to ‘giving forward’ to offer future generations every possible opportunity to succeed.
“We are delighted to welcome Blundstone, a company with such a proud history and sustained commitment to inclusion into the Pinnacle family,” Pinnacle Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Andrew Staite says. “Their support will transform the lives of many young LGBTQIA+ Australians, helping them to overcome challenges arising from their identity and realise their full potential.”
