‘Stop! That! Train!’ is a cinematic experience not to be missed, celebrating the kitsch, glamour, and tongue-in-cheek humour of drag queens and the LGBTQIA+ community.
It follows in the comedic tradition of original iconic disaster movie spoof ‘Airplane!’ (Or ‘Flying High’ in Australia), cited by the filmmakers as a key inspiration for the film. It features ‘Drag Race’ icons Ginger Minj and Jujubee, starring as train stewardesses faced with a catastrophic ‘stormganza’, threatening to derail their train. . . And forcing them to join with RuPaul, as President Gagwell.
Celebrity cameos abound, such as Lisa Rinna, Sarah Michelle Gellar and more.
Tess and DeeDee have traded their dreary shifts on the Stank Rail for the glitzy Glamazonian Express. . . But when the catastrophic ‘stormganza’ threatens to derail the high-speed train and crash it into Florida, the duo must join forces with snobby first-class attendants (Symone, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Marcia Marcia Marcia), and the President (RuPaul), to save the day.
Tickets on sale now.
‘Stop! That! Train!’ is in Australian cinemas from 13 August.
