Why do you do it/why is your job important to you?
I love being an agent because I get to shape the careers of incredible humans and genuinely make amazing friendships with my talent and clients. My job directing Alpha is important to me because I want to change the industry and people's experiences in it.
What is your goal career-wise?
It was always to start my own business and shake up the industry, so I'm moving into the goal at the moment after a decade of working hard on my career.
Do you have an LGBT+ or female icon/spokesperson that you look up to and if so, what do you love about them?
I know that this may seem like an easy answer given how much she's in the spotlight at the moment, but Hannah Gadsby is honestly my god damn hero! Nothing has moved me to the point of goosebumps and tears like her words and passion in 'Nanette'. She's honest, she's deep, she has highs and lows during her narrative, she speaks the truth unapologetically and she's a huge reminder to stay true to yourself and fight the good fight regardless of what people might think.
How do you define happiness?
Happiness to me is feeling inspired and satisfied in what I'm doing. The second I'm feeling uninspired or like I'm merely existing, I become complacent and need to give myself a swift kick up the ass!
Are you happy with your work/life balance?
Definitely. I left Sydney to escape the rat-race and around the clock work culture which was a great success because Melbourne isn't as full on. A huge part of my starting the agency was to be able to have flexible working hours and promote a good work/life balance for my future staff. Your physical and mental health are so important; working too much has thrown both of these out for me a million times and I don't want to put myself through that ever again.
If you could travel back in time for a day, where would you go?
I'm a massive dork for saying this but I'd want to be a passenger on the Titanic... on a non-sinking day of course!
What is the best lesson you've ever learned?
You're the only person who's going to get you where you want to be, so work hard, smart and trust your own judgement.
What is your spirit animal?
Definitely my cat Peach. Sassy and fabulous but loves a snuggle.
