First Listen: RavxN's Dark Pop Ballad 'A Fragile Thing'

Sydney-based alternative-pop newcomer RavxN has released their sophomore single (and music video) – 'A Fragile Thing'.

RavxN has a diverse and eclectic background in the entertainment industry, having performed as both an actor and singer in Sydney after moving there from the far north. RavxN is a fierce advocate for mental heath and queer rights/spaces, working with the local LGBTQIA+ community to coordinate events and

'A Fragile Thing' – taken from RavxN's EP 'Act I: Innocence & Obsession' – blends the artist's background in classical and theatrical music with a passion for dark pop. The result? A surreal, gloomy ballad about obsessive love and insecurity.

Sonically it's a balancing act between electronic synths, theatrical orchestration and tongue-in-cheek lyrics.

Meanwhile, visually, RavxN presents a gothic, moody aesthetic to follow on from the previous video for 'Chemical Dreams (Stay With Me)'. The video is directed by Caleb Rodda for Portrait Films.
