More than 80,000 revellers are expected at the event. You can enjoy the summer sunshine, shop the community stalls for your festival outfit, or join the fun and games in the Sports Village. Even your fur babies will be accounted for – they can strut their stuff in the world-famous Doggywood competition. Ruff!

Fair Day will be showcasing up-and-coming queer performers who are redefining the Australian music landscape and bringing LGBTQIA+ voices and stories to the forefront. The Main Stage line-up, hosted by Faustina Agolley, features performances from the likes of Jess B, JamarzOnMarz, Jamaica Moana and Hoodzy – as well as electric live sets from Ngaiire, Bec Sandridge, Architects Of Sound and Huntly, show-stopping drag performances from Felicia Foxx, and sets from beloved community DJs Division 4, Danielle Rizk and Victoria Anthony.

“Fair Day is a cornerstone of the Mardi Gras season and brings LGBTQIA+ people of all walks of life together for a day of celebration alongside our family and friends,” Mardi Gras CEO Albert Kruger says. “It is an opportunity for us to remember our history and toast to the resoundingly positive spirit of our community.”

Victoria Park Pool will be open on the day, so bring your swimmers if you want to take a dip! There's free entry for kids under the age of ten years, too.

Mardi Gras Fair Day is on 16 February at Victoria Park.
