The companion to the larger Big Gay Day (held earlier this year, raising tens of thousands of dollars), Little Gay Day is a one-day event packed with local talent, with donations on entry set to support Diverse Voices, a local LGBTQIA+ charity operating queer support hotline QLife. Through this hotline, people can call and receive peer counselling for issues such as gender identity and sexuality.

Musician Sahara Beck will headline the festivities.

“We are excited to once again be able to celebrate Little Gay Day with our patrons and help raise money for this charity, which is very close to our heart,” Venue Manager Megan Edwards says. 

“We hope to grow Little Gay Day each year and it is fantastic that we have added this event to our schedule for the last three years, in addition to the Big Gay Day celebration. We cannot wait to see everyone, from loyal customers to new, at this fantastic event.”

Little Gay Day takes place on 3 October at The Wickham Hotel (Brisbane).
