Happy Endings Review @ Fringe World Perth 2023

'Happy Endings', from Tone & Cheek Productions, is the second delicate spin of dance theatre, cabaret, circus, and sultry vocals that is paving the way for this emerging company’s lauded repertoire.

'Happy Endings'

Off the sold-out season of 'Club D’Amour', fans will notice favourite performers returning to the stage – with some new faces – such as Fay Rocious as the baddest pack leader you ever laid eyes on, Amber Scates as the lascivious Red Riding Hood, wigging out with Melina Mall as Rapunzel, Matthew Pope as the incredible Jack (and his beanstalk. . .), Haydn Shadforth partnered with Fay MacFarlane as the adventurous Hansel and Gretel, and Linton Elethious as the proud Prince Charming, who likes to walk a mile in every girl's shoes (just after sniffing them).

Co-Producers, Liam Guiney and Natalie Oakes have perfected a timeless framework with their collaboration, and continue to build strong home-grown contacts with Perth artists. “'Happy Endings' explores the traditional themes of fairy tale stories, intended by Brothers Grimm, and is designed to leave audiences questioning everything that thought they knew about the stories, in a sexy and seductive 60-minute spectacle,” Guiney says.

From flaming batons, silk aerialists, suspended hoop acrobatics, high octane choreography, live vocals, and pole dancing – 'Happy Endings' tickles every box for a powerhouse Fringe show.

Silk, chains, tone, and cheek – 'Happy Endings' is 'Into The Woods' meets 'Burlesque', making it everything you’d want from a night of debauchery.
