‘As Seen On TV’ is a drag extravaganza with the two queens, previously seen on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under’. With 15 years of drag under their corsets, they’re bringing the fabulousness to your backyard, breaking the fourth wall and performing side-splitting numbers about their misadventures in drag and on screen.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to tour Australia – all the way from woop woop to the red centre – and share my love of drag,” Art Simone says. “To be able to do this and also create safe and inclusive spaces for all, makes it a deadset bucket-list moment. I’m stoked!”
“Drag is for everyone! There’s nothing that excites me more than travelling around the country spreading the joy of self-expression,” Etcetera adds. “I’m so excited to tour with my sister Art Simone and give Australia a real look inside our minds! Let’s hope they like what they find!”
In addition to ‘As Seen On TV’, Art and Etcetera will be conducting intimate pre-show Drag 101 workshops on a selection of the tour dates, presented by NYX Professional Makeup.
“For a lot of trans and gender diverse people, makeup is a tool to face the adversity of day-to-day life. In our series of workshops, we want to give a safe space for everyday Australians to discover how to express their inner beauty and have the confidence to be exactly who they are inside!” Etcetera says of the workshops.
“For me,” Art Simone adds, “Makeup was the gateway into a world of drag and self-expression. It was a perfect mix of escapism and self-exploration and was key to me forming my sense of identity.”
“It will be an absolute joy to share over ten years of industry experience with attendees as they get the rare opportunity to peek behind the curtain, in an informal and informative environment.”
