He responded to a question made on his Instagram account below a photo he posted, showing a graphic to do with 'God's plan'.
"what was gods [sic] plan for gay people??", the comment said.
"HELL… Unless they repent of their sins and turn to God", Israel responded.
This isn't the first time the deeply religious sportsman has spoken out about this particular topic.
In September last year, Israel tweeted about his opposition to same-sex marriage – in this instance, unprovoked:
I love and respect all people for who they are and their opinions. but personally, I will not support gay marriage.✌❤?

Contrary to Israel's views, Rugby Australia publicly delared their backing for a positive outcome in regards to last year's postal survey, as did fellow Wallabies star David Pocock who is an outspoken advocate for equality.
Hmmm… Looks like you're the only conservative Christian in the village, Israel.
