The abuse comes after a same-sex couple were asked to leave the rink when they were seen kissing by an offended parent.

Maddie Dellosa and Amy Hudson were at Oak Flats Roller Skating Rink on a date where their contact, as Maddie tells the Illawarra Mercury, was limited to "a few pecks – nothing over half a second".

They were told to stop by the manager, who had received a complaint from a parent that it wasn't appropriate in front of children.

The rink's site states its current closure.

The couple were visibly upset; Amy grabbed Maddie's face and kissed her on the lips in protest. That's when the manager asked the two to leave, abruptly.

Upon returning home, the couple left one-star reviews on the rink's Facebook page (with numbers of people following suit, before the page was taken down).

Oak Flats Roller Skating Rink is currently closed due to 'safety concerns for our staff'.
