Get ready, Australia.

The nation’s foremost celebration of everything drag, kitsch and pop-culture is coming to Melbourne in August 2020 as DragExpo makes its inaugural sashay into the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Taking place over a huge two days, this is the chance for the drag fans of Australia to catch up with drag royalty, both locally and internationally.

Visitors to the expo can expect to meet the stars of 'RuPaul's Drag Race', witness home-grown drag legends, and learn their inspiring stories. There are also opportunities to attend a plethora of panels, tutorials, chill-out spaces, fabulous shopping stores, runways with Q&A sessions, meet and greets, official merchandise, a drag market, and much more.

It's glitz and glamour, that's for sure, but no area will be left un-plucked. From technical tucks to mental health, a range of things will be covered. You'll be able to learn how drag has evolved throughout history, how Australia has given drag our own special flavour, and how drag artists have a message we can all learn from. Most of all, visitors can learn the power that comes from letting you be your real self, with hundreds of like-minded fans on hand to cheer you on.

DragExpo is proudly owned and operated by In The Dark Presents, a production company with hundreds of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' national tours under its belt.

This will be the first drag convention in the Southern Hemisphere and, who knows, it could be the biggest in existence. Check out phase one of the DragExpo line-up below.
